This research is a survey research in order to study prevalence accident from motorcycle rider and factors related to accident from motorcycle rider among senior high school students in Muang district, Sukhothai province Data were collected by questionnaire. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, and Pearson chi-square test.
The results showed that 860 samples of the students. The prevalence of accident in a year ago was 28.60 %. The level of knowledge about motorcycle rider was in accident group were high medium, and low levels, respectively. The level of knowledge about motorcycle riding was in non-accident group were medium, high and low levels, respectively. Mostly, both of accident group and non-accident group are mostly high level of good riding attitude and medium level of good riding attitude, respectively. Behavior of motorcycle riding were in accident group and non-accident group which always doing while riding in top 3 were such as do not drink alcohol or alcohol before driving, adjust the rearview mirror to clear before riding and reduce speed or slow down every time when arrive crossroad& However, behavior of motorcycle riding were in accident group and non-accident group which never doing while riding in top 3 were such as smoking while riding, violates the prohibit of traffic law and riding a motorcycle with do not interesting of traffic sigh, respectively. Factors were associated statistically significant
(p-value = 0.050), including, sex, educations, experience of riding, call mobile phone while riding, riding while raining, reduce speed or slow down every time when the road is not safety (rough, sand and slippery or wet road) reduce speed or slow down every time when arrive crossroads and riding a motorcycle with do not interesting of traffic sigh
